What is a Quadriceps Tendon Autograft?

For ACL tears there are a few different ways to go about reconstructing this ligament. And one of the ways that I particularly find is beneficial for patients is using something called the quadriceps tendon autograft. And that includes me taking a piece of the quadriceps tendon and doing what we call an “all inside technique” to recreate the ACL within the knee joint. And so, it ends up being much smaller incisions and also a very robust graft at the same time.
