Crovetti Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine (COSM), has been providing Orthopaedic care in the Las Vegas valley for more than ten years. Its Founder, Dr. Mike Crovetti is Board Certified in Orthopaedic Surgery and treats orthopaedic problems in the hip, knee and shoulder. In the hip, Dr. Crovetti specializes in Hip Replacement, Hip Resurfacing and Arthroscopy of the Hip. In the knee, Dr. Crovetti specializes in Knee Replacement, Anterior Cruciate Reconstruction, Knee Arthroscopy and Cartilage and Bone transplantation. In the Shoulder, Dr. Crovetti specializes in Arthroscopic Reconstruction and Shoulder Replacement Surgery. Dr. Crovetti prides himself in maintaining a very low infection and complication rate, excellent post operative pain control, and the use of cutting edge technologies in the treatment of Hip, Knee and Shoulder problems. As an innovator Dr. Crovetti has and continues to develop new Orthopaedic instrumentation and surgical devices. As a result, he has had the opportunity to learn from surgeons all over the world. He, in turn, has dedicated his career to training surgeons from around the world on disorders and new technologies in Hip, Knee and Shoulder surgery.

Dr. Jason Tarno, Dr. Crovetti’s long time partner and friend, specializes in the non operative care of most orthopaedic injuries and conditions. A Las Vegas Native, Dr. Tarno now gives back to the high school sports teams he once competed against. As a local team physician, he supports athletic trainers and the treatment of sports injuries at the high school and college level. Dr. Tarno is an instructor for the University of Las Vegas Nevada Sports Medicine Fellowship Program. The fellows he has trained are now taking care of athletes throughout the country.

Dr. Tarno has special interest in ligament injuries in the knee and the diagnosis and treatment of the Throwing Athlete including our pitchers, quarterbacks and tennis players. He has further interest in the conservative treatment of osteoarthritis of the knee including hyaluronic acid injections otherwise known as “gel shots”. In the event that conservative treatment fails and surgery is required, Dr. Tarno will refer you to Dr. Crovetti for your Hip, Knee or Shoulder or to a trusted surgical friend of COSM.
