It may seem unusual that a mountain-loving Colorado doctor finds himself transplanted to the Las Vegas desert. But in preparing to relocate a bit closer to his hometown than Florida, Drew knew he was looking for something unique in his field; he just wasn’t quite sure where to find it. When his search led to Crovetti Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine, he knew instinctively this was it.

Dr. Iman specializes in hip and knee replacements – with an emphasis on state-of-the-art hip procedures through the muscle-sparing anterior approach – as well as the treatment of general orthopaedic conditions.

A bit of a conservative in his specialty, Dr. Iman admits that his main goal is to keep his patients out of his operating room, if possible. Rather, he first advocates for making nutrition and lifestyle changes, and may encourage and discuss complementary and alternative medicine solutions before considering surgery. Methods, it appears, that seem to coordinate well with the overall philosophy of Crovetti Orthopaedics.

When the paths of Dr. Iman and Dr. Michael Crovetti crossed, it immediately felt like it could be the start of a great match. Sharing many similar opinions about improving care for both patients and the doctors who treat them, the more they interacted, the more obvious it became that Dr. Iman, and all the doctors at Crovetti Ortho, were like-minded about improving health care and perhaps even part of the system itself.

This Denver native earned his undergraduate degree at Colorado State University, moving on to his Osteopathic Medical degree from Des Moines University in Iowa. Dr. Iman completed a 5-year residency at St. John Providence Health System in Detroit, Michigan, which included training at area hospitals such as Detroit Medical Center, Henry Ford, William Beaumont, and DMC Children’s.

He then completed fellowship training in Adult Reconstruction at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida; and began practicing in Stuart, Florida. Dr. Iman is Board Eligible for the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopaedics.

When he is not working with patients, Dr. Iman – who is a lifelong health enthusiast – enjoys many outdoor sports with his wife, Susan (an occupational therapist and personal trainer), including skiing, snowboarding, hiking, and mountain climbing. He lifts weights and plays multiple musical instruments, and loves spending quality time with Susan, dogs Miles and Izzy, family, and close friends. These new Las Vegas locals are looking forward to meeting new friends in the community and exploring all of what Las Vegas and the surrounding area has to offer.
